Hey Hey.

The Inspire-Treat was totally fun don't you think? And of course, we will not miss the chance of having our photo taken to commemorate the day..but actually, more to remember how we look before the school restarts. Heh.

Most of us have been seeing and bumping against each other at school, no? Keep it alive people! See you all more often in upcoming NTUMS events!

Thank you all who made it happen. It was a blast. May the camp be the best memory that you ever had. And cherish all the friendship bonds that you guys forged. Below are some photos. =). A walk down memory lane.

and through the night for 7 months..

yet we never failed to smile..

So here we are. It was worth it. Love you all loads!
It has been a great pleasure.

We are here to inform you of the thingies to bring for the battle (camp) next week. =). Bear in mind that the camp is 3 days and 2 nights, so we leave it up to you to bring the amount of sets to suit your own needs.

And here it goes..

-Toiletries
-Bright long sleeve top (nightwalk)
-Shoes for long distance walking
-Long pants (recommended, 3 pairs)
-Dark set of clothings for wet games (on the 2nd day)
-Personal medications
-Praying attire
-Insect repellant
-Water bottle to ensure frequent hydration
-Shawl (for gals)
-Writing materials
-Thick socks
-Small bag for belongings to bring around during camp
-Your 'semangat', lots of it would be great =)

You will need to report at 0830hrs at Student Activities Centre (SAC) beside the School of Biological Sciences (SBS).

Now, how to get there??

Please take bus service no.179 from Boon Lay interchange. When the bus starts to enter NTU premises, keep a lookout for this building (refer to attachment). It is called the School of Art, Design and Media (ADM). After the bus has passed the building, press the bell and alight at the oncoming bustop. You will see a bridge connecting NTU and NIE at the bustop (it is called the love bridge by the way). There will be ushers at the bustop and along the way to assist you.

For those of you who decided to join last minute, fret not! Just bring yourself down by following the above directions, together with your camp fees and indemnity form. Please download and print your idnemnity form here as the form is very important.

And so we came all the way to NTU on a Sunday morning. Yes, Sunday morning, at 0900hrs to be precise. Oh what fun we had. Really!

More preparations

Our Mock camp part 2 is approaching. And look! We are all busy preparing for the camp..

We made water bombs for the games

Oh what fat water bombs we made!

And then we made costumes for our skit.

And it's not a everyday that you see guys sewing and stitching diligently.

Of course, the girls did not forget to lend our hands..

But of course, we did not forget to have fun. Everyone seems to bond with one another. Below is one of those cute moments that we bonded over.

We were awed by those markers with pattern stamps on them. All the way from Ikea, thanks to that guy in pink shirt. heh.

Hear, hear.

It is unfortunate to announce that the Faci Training scheduled on the 14th July as originally planned has to be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances. Do take note yeah.

Also, we would like to invite all soon-to-be facilitators and helpers to come for our mock camp on the 17th to 19th July 2007. Reporting time and place is not yer confirmed. Feel free to contact Taufik at 93825970 for more information or for those who are interested to be part of the camp!

Oh and of course, we welcome participants to register for the camp too!!

Sneak Preview

The past 2 weeks had been busy but yet fun for us. We're at SAC almost everyday, preparing for the camp.

The programmers got busy in discussion for games trial and props-making.

Prior to the games trial, we had to make some of the props. It was almost like an Arts and Craft lesson!

We even went around for recce to scout for the best locations for the games.

We walked through classroom corridor,

down the staircase

And don't forget the peace sign when crossing the road. Ooops, we mean raise your right hand, kids.

With all props done, our camp helpers came down last Monday for games trial.

Woodlands Collection

Last Saturday we were at Woodlands for our third newspaper and old clothes collection to raise fund for the camp.

The day started off with planning by Isnin (thanks, bro!). But of course all has to go thru the commandant and vice-commandant first ;)

Soon, we were busy knocking on the doors, asking for newspapers and old clothes. Luckily, we were not disappointed most of the time.

Soon it was time for lunch and zohor. Since the nearest mosque is quite a distance and we wanted to maximise our time, we decided to call for KFC delivery and have lunch at the void deck, kenduri-style.

We even had our zohor there!

With our stomachs filled, we were energised to resume work. Even Isnin himself was not spared from more work...

After a long day at work... we were just so glad to finally sit and relax before heading home.

On behalf of the MSFOC Ad-Hoc committee we would like to thank everyone who have helped us in one way or another to make any of the events a success. We deeply appreciate your efforts. We look forward to more working opportunities with you guys =)

Salams everyone!

A few of us were away for ITQAN over the last weekend. It is an Islamic based leadership workshop held over 3days/2nights camp at Masjid Al-Iman. It was conducted by trainers from Irsyad International Training & Consultancy.

ITQAN: Integrity, Teamwork, Quwwah, Ambassadorship, New Age

The topics, based on the different themes, were discussed interactively within and between groups. It was indeed an enriching and beneficial learning experience.

Flyers distribution

Here's a sneak preview of what goes on before the actual newspaper collection.

A few days before the newspaper collection, we would head down to the estate for a little bit of publicity.

We distributed flyers to the residents in the neighbourhood. We hope that with the reminder from us, the residents would be better prepared and we can collect more items during collection. But it's not that easy job...

Firstly, we had to navigate our way around.

Nonetheless, we manged to get the job done!

Darul Makmur Youth Month

We've just got back from fundraising at Darul Makmur. We had a stall there selling

& epok-epok

The bazaar was held in conjunction with the launch of Darul Makmur Youth Month.

Well, we didn't have to wait long for customers thanks to our sales lady.

While the girls are busy pitching sales, the guys are busy cooking! They were the chef for the day to fry ice-cream (we sold fried ice-cream too).

We would like to thank Mai's mum for the epok-epok and Evergreen Ice cream for, well, the ice-creams.

Newspaper Collection: Tampines

The school holidays has long begun and we've been busy with preparation for the camp!

Currently we're busy doing fund-raising activities, so that you guys can have a lower registration fee ;)

The first one we had was a newspaper collection at Tampines St 12/Ave 4.

Last Tuesday, we distributed flyers to inform residents of newspaper, old clothes etc

And today was the day of execution. Here are some photos of us in action!

We knocked houses as early as 10am.

Here's the loot we managed to get after a few hours.

Of course it was all tiring.
But what make our day are definitely nice residents,
like the one in the photo.

We even got a mattress, you know.

As the day came to end,
the real karang guni man came.
So we transferred our treasures
on the lorry.

These items were brought to a centre
to be weighed and recycled.

More money for camp =D

Cohesion Activity

The Ad-Hoc committee just had our first cohesion activity, at East Coast Park, Area D. Despite the rain, the BBQ went on as planned. The team had great fun mingling and we bonded over good food. The highlight of the day was definitely the 'photoshoot' by publicity team.

To those who missed out (actually Isnin only =P), fret not, cuz there's definitely be more of this coming up. If not, we can always catch up with each other in school or msn =)

Last but not least, thanks to Razif and his team of programmers for the great effort in making it a success.
